This two-day New Roads & Street Works Act (NRSWA) Refresher course is for both Operatives and Supervisors who have experience of working on highways and who already hold a current SWQR card but requires renewal. Reassessments can be completed up to five years after the card expiration date.
Note: Even though you can re-assess during this period, your card will not be valid until you have been certificated and your new card issued by SWQR.
New Roads & Street Works Act (NRSWA) Refresher Course Content
Delegates will receive refresher training prior to completing the multi-choice question papers to achieve the required 80% pass rate. The syllabus is determined by the awarding body (SQA) for the units the candidate wishes to re-accredit with Street Work Qualifications Register.

This is a classroom-based theory course followed by the completion of written tests.
A NRSWA training group may contain a mix of both Operatives and Supervisors. Sessions will be varied within the overall framework to allow the most effective development of the candidate.
Successful completion of the New Roads & Street Works Act (NRSWA) Refresher course will enable you to re-register on the Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR).
If you hold both Supervisor and Operative Cards you will only be able to refresh one card per course.
